- Some time around Mon, 18 Mar 96, Victor did scribble thus:

- A quick render from the Detail and [initially] Stage editor shows everything
- to be okay.

- I'm using Pixel 3D to convert a bitmap into an Imagine object. I also
- extrude the object in Pixel 3D, too. I don't have to extrude it in Imagine
- either, do I? (And I'm not that sure how to do it anyway - isn't easy being
- a beginner. ;( )
-
- > do a Join or Merge of all object elements (warning: it'll 'glue' your
-
- Yes, pulled that off too. I thought that may have been the problem, but
- even though I'm only left with one object, the Stage editor still barfs at
- the resulting object. It's pretty weird really how the Stage editor will
- let me load and display the object perfectly the first time, but it always
- seems to Transform the object into a 2D-stretched version everytime it
- reloads it.
-
- That's something I've noticed too..... Everytime I try to Transform
- the object (in either the Detail or Stage editor) it always results in a
- completely unrecognizable, 2D, mess. And, the Transform settings requester
- tells me that my object has a 0 Y-axis whenever it comes to scaling, etc.
-
- [Bitmap->Object technique]
-
- I suppose I could play around with Imagine's bitmap and extrusion functions
- for a while. I've only bothered with converting a bitmap within Imagine
- once or twice, as I'm not sure how to extrude correctly.
-
- Thanks for all the hints and tips, I'm sure I'll get there eventually. :)

- Bye,
